Matt Hugg is president and founder of Nonprofit.Courses PREMIUM, your on-demand, online educational resource for nonprofit leaders, staff, board members and volunteers.

Matt was inspired to create Nonprofit.Courses PREMIUM through his work in creating and delivering high quality international, national and local seminars, webinars and courses through professional associations (such as the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) corporate clients, (such as roundCorner (now Salesforce), Microsoft and Avanade) and academia (at Eastern University, the University of Pennsylvania, Thomas Edison State University, Juniata College, Villanova and Drexel.)

Hugg brings his broad and diverse fundraising and nonprofit management experience to you, collected from his work at several nonprofits and universities, including Lebanon Valley College, the University of Cincinnati, Ursinus College and the University of the Arts of Philadelphia. In these positions, Matt raised thousands of gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations and government entities, and worked with hundreds of volunteers on boards and fundraising committees, in addition to his organizational leadership responsibilities.

Matt is the author of the “Guide to Nonprofit Consulting,” “Philander Family Values: Fun Scenarios for Practical Fundraising Education for Boards, Staff and Volunteers.” He also contributed marketing chapters to the Health Administration Press’ “The Healthcare Nonprofit: Keys to Effective Management.”

He has served in several capacities on the board of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and is a regular speaker at events in Philadelphia and around the country, on topics in fundraising, nonprofit marketing, philanthropy and more.

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Natural History from Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania and is proud to be in the first class to receive a master’s in Philanthropy and Development from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
