Victoria Matey

For more than 15 years, Victoria Matey has brought an independent perspective to event strategy, design, and content. Her specialty is applying scientific findings on human behavior and psychology to event design. Using behavioral science tools and knowledge, she help create more influential and memorable event experiences.

Victoria teaches and speaks about the psychology of events, strategic event planning, and other topics all over the world, including, including IMEX America, (North America’s biggest trade show for event planners) MPI Academy (Meeting Professionals International), EventMB (by Skift Meetings). She’s the author of the book 10 principles of Strategic Event Planning, about how to plan events that people want to come back to.

She received Ford Foundation IFP Fellowship, and IFP Alumni Award (2018), was named a Top 100 Smart Woman in Meetings by Smart Meetings and 2018 ChangeMaker by MeetingsNet. She holds an MSc in International Events Management from University of Surrey.
