Most people form an opinion about another person within the first few minutes of interaction or contact – and that opinion or perception plays a significant role in determining that person’s on-going perception over time. For this reason, the first visit is often the most important visit a fundraiser will have with a potential donor. Establishing a comfort level with the person during the first visit is, therefore, critically important to nurturing and building the on-going relationship.
