In an effort to ensure that that African Americans are not left behind in the fight against COVID-19, the Black Community Collaborative created the Black Community Pandemic Prevention and Support Group. Using social media as an organizing tool, the group provides important,up to date information about COVID-19, resources, supports, and ideas on how local residents can protect themselves, their families and communities as a whole.
We will speak with Natasha Dunn and Kay Winding, two of the group’s co-founders, to hear some of the lessons they are learning as they work with their neighbors to navigate the new landscape.
The Black Community Collaborative is a group of organizations and individuals coming together to advocate on behalf of the Black Community, on a number of issues, including education, economic development and health and wellness.
