Sharon Papo is a Fundraising Consultant and Executive Coach. She supports executive and development directors to grow into effective, badass fundraising professionals. Her specialty is motivating Boards to fundraise, launching successful capital campaigns, and growing major donor programs. As a fundraising consultant, speaker, and trainer, Sharon is known for her positivity, warmth, and sparkle.

Before launching Indigo Skies Consulting, Sharon spent 12 years as the executive director of 2 community-based organizations where she led successful capital campaigns, raised funds to quadruple the annual budget, and ensured the organizations had  strong reserve funds.

Sharon earned her Master's degree from UC Berkeley’s School of Social Welfare and is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). Sharon received her B.A. in Gender Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and her Diversity and Inclusion certificate from Cornell University. Sharon studied Coaching at the Coaches Training Institute. Sharon was recently honored by the City of Santa Cruz when they named Jan. 12, 2021 Sharon Papo Day in recognition of Sharon’s intersectional movement building, creating anti-racist consciousness and action, and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community
