Civic engagement and its ability to prevent risky behavior in youth has been explored for decades. One study of over 1,000 teenage youths revealed a direct inverse relationship between civic engagement and risky behavior. Engaged youth maximize their sense of community by transforming victims of social problems into social change agents in their communities. More than the qualitative, its impact is seen in numbers, they are 11% more likely to have a grade point average above B+, 24% more likely to vote, and 200% more likely to be civically engaged in adulthood. This is, however, far easier said than done.

This webinar brings together experts from around the world to explore how communities can continue to leverage their infrastructure to ensure a healthy culture of civic engagement. Attendees can expect to receive an inside look into how civic engagement programs are crafted, implemented and reviewed to ensure they’re meeting their goals. Attendees will also takeaway specific lessons and best practices for implementing new programs in communities across the country.

The Leaky (Fundraising) Bucket What’s Wrong With Your Fundraising and How to Fix It

Learn How to Fix Common Fundraising Problems and Make the Most of Your Time and Effort

Think before you answer this provocative question: Is your fundraising bucket leaking?

Linda LysakowskiIf there is one thing I’ve seen far too often in my decades as a fundraising practitioner and consultant, it’s that too many programs are falling short of their potential – by far.

It’s not that an organization’s staff members aren’t working very hard. It’s that their efforts could be far more effective.

The metaphor “leaky bucket” simply means that one or more aspects of a fundraising program are not managed optimally. And that results in diminished support for the organization.

Sometimes just a minor adjustment or tweak will plug a leak. Sometimes a revamp is called for. Either way, revenue increases. Sometimes dramatically.

So, how can you ensure your fundraising program is watertight?

Let me help you. In this course, we’ll look at nine critical aspects of managing the fundraising process, what too many nonprofits are doing wrong (including, maybe, yours), and how you can get back on track.

We’ll start with the Leaky Bucket Assessment Tool, which will reveal the leaks.

Then, we’ll cover how to fix them.

If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it. So we’ll talk about fundraising infrastructure metrics. You’ll see what you can measure versus what you should measure, and why.

We’ll start plugging those leaks in your bucket, starting with acquiring new donors. I’ll teach you the methods to attract new donors and how to think about the costs of doing so versus taking existing donors to the next level.

You will learn about staffing the development function and the roles of the development staff, nondevelopment staff, board, and volunteers. I will also show you how to diversify your revenue streams so that you are not dependent on one form of fundraising.

You will learn about the laws and ethical standards that are important in fundraising. I’ll tell you what you need to know about federal, state, and local regulations as well as ethical standards of conduct.

Most importantly, I’ll show you how to develop a plan that will fix your organization’s leaks so that it can move ahead, maximize its efforts, and realize more support.

Make Your Fundraising Magic Happen by Involving Volunteers in New and Creative Ways

This course brought to you by Linda Lysakowski

Do you need help but can’t afford to hire more staff? A Dream Team of volunteer fundraisers is the answer

Linda LysakowskiFar too many organizations engage volunteer fundraisers, if at all, in just special events and menial support tasks. Through this course, you will learn how to engage volunteers in all your fundraising activities, find the right volunteers for the right task, and orient, train, and educate them.

You will learn how to find and approach volunteers to get them to say yes to you. You will see what kind of materials to share with them. You will know how to keep good volunteers involved in your cause.

Once you understand how to keep volunteers coming back, you’ll realize fantastic results without adding to your existing staff. You’ll build credibility. You’ll garner much stronger community support.

So, are you ready to take your volunteer program to the next level?
