Sonia started Uplifting Nonprofits in 2010 with a crazy mission to “save” the world. Today, her mission is to bring mastery of fundraising to nonprofits, so they can be more successful in their missions. She recognized that successful fundraising remains the number one challenge for most nonprofit Boards. So she set out to change it because she knows from personal experience that overcoming fundraising blocks and struggles is possible and achievable.
Known for her program Unleash Your Inner Fundraiser, for Boards and nonprofit leaders, it is accessing new thinking with brain science while cultivating their own personal style to attract and build relationships that benefit the organization. Her clients learn how to double their fundraising results while becoming comfortable and confident in their own voice.
Sonia was in the hospitality/hotel field for many years and managed teams of up to 30 people. She brings this experience of relationship building and collaboration into her current successful ventures with nonprofits.
Coming from a multicultural background and speaking 3 languages - Arabic, French and English - Sonia brings diverse perspectives and cultures to the table. Under normal circumstances you can find her traveling regularly, further expanding her views on life, business, and the need to serve others. Sonia has had the opportunity to be on Air Force One, Marine One, and in the West Wing. She hopes to meet President Jimmy Carter, a man of peace and service. Lastly, she loves potato chips!
