Every wonder how to make the workplace more respectful and less biased in this challenging time that we live in?

This week’s guest speaker is Lauren Stiller Rikleen who is president of a great institute for strategic leadership.

Lauren offers engaging, research-based, and interactive presentations that include specific strategies for strengthening multi-generational teams, eliminating workplace structures that allow unconscious bias and negative behaviors to thrive, and ensuring that workplace leaders have in place the policies and practices they need to provide opportunities for advancement that are truly open to all.

Lauren’s most recent book is The Shield of Silence: How Power Perpetuates a Culture of Harassment and Bullying in the Workplace.

Bystanders who witness others being victimized are impacted in numerous ways. They often want to help, but fear that intervention will result in retaliation, social isolation, or other forms of retribution. This leaves victims unsupported, witnesses experiencing feelings of fear and guilt, and employers being seen as fostering a culture where misconduct is unaddressed.

To change this dynamic, bystanders must be empowered and trained to intervene safely and appropriately in the face of negative behaviors. You’ll learn how to step up in this conversation.
